60' Documentary UK
Movie Info Sheet

Henry VIII’s marriages were as dramatic as they were consequential. His first wife, Catherine of Aragon, was divorced after years of marriage to make way for Anne Boleyn, who was executed after failing to provide a male heir. Jane Seymour gave Henry his beloved son, Edward VI, but died shortly after childbirth. Henry’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleves, was divorced after six months, while Catherine Howard was executed for infidelity. Finally, Catherine Parr outlived Henry and helped heal the rifts between him and his children. Each queen left her mark on English history, their lives intertwined with Henry’s desperate pursuit of a male heir.
