The Tudor dynasty ruled England for over a century, with three kings and three queens. It began with Henry VII, followed by his son, Henry VIII, whose reign transformed England with the creation of the Church of England. After Henry’s death, the throne passed to his son, Edward VI, and then to his daughters, Mary I and Elizabeth I. While Mary tried to restore Catholicism, Elizabeth I led England through a golden age, defeating the Spanish Armada and fostering cultural growth. However, her refusal to marry or name a successor left England without an heir, and with her death in 1603, the Tudor dynasty ended, giving way to the Stuart dynasty.
