End Of The House Of Romanov

Movie Info Sheet

The fall of the Romanov dynasty is a brutal reminder of the fragility of power. For over three hundred years, the Romanovs ruled Russia, but by the early 20th century, economic hardship and military defeats had caused widespread disillusionment with Tsar Nicholas II’s leadership. The Russian Revolution of 1917 forced Nicholas to abdicate, and the family was placed under house arrest. With the rise of the Bolsheviks, their fate was sealed. On July 17, 1918, Tsar Nicholas II, Tsarina Alexandra, and their five children were executed in Ekaterinburg. Their tragic deaths marked the end of the Romanov dynasty and the violent beginning of Soviet Russia.
